You know that 5 + 9 =14
You also know that 14 - 6 = 8

That is all that algebra amounts to!

It is represented in equations like this.

5 +  9 =  6 + X

Where  X = 8
But you already knew that!

Now lets try it with multiplication:

You know that 5 * 4 = 20
You also know that 20 /2 = 10

That is all that is represented by this equation:

5*4 = 2X

(2X means 2 times whatever X is.)

You already know that X= 10

If you know math you already know algebra.
